This week, a friend asked me to change his dog’s name.
The dog was named Jeeves.
The name is a reference to the British comedy TV show “Jeeves and Wooster,” which is about two misfits who make it to the top of the social ladder.
My friend and I were both very into the show and both grew up on it.
I was especially into Jeeve.
We decided to change Jeevis from Jeevises name to Jeevas.
After much research, we finally found a book on canine naming.
The book was written by Dr. Mark D’Onofrio and has over 1,600 pages, which was a huge help.
We picked a name that would be both easy for the dog to pronounce and memorable.
We chose Jeeva because it was the only name that could be both catchy and also meaningful.
For me, the name Jeevaros meaning “journey” was the perfect choice.
Jeevanas name means “journers” in the language of the Navajo people.
We named our dog Jeeven.
I hope this helps your dog’s new name.
It’s easy and fun!
