A new company called Engineered Wood Flooring has a product that uses wood to provide insulation and breathability in new construction.
The company’s flooring is specifically designed to help prevent mold and moisture from building up in the walls of a home.
“The design of our carpet was inspired by the idea of the human body, it’s our goal to help save lives and the environment,” founder and CEO Natalie Wood says.
Wood says she got the idea for Engineered Flooring after hearing stories of people who had trouble with mold and other problems caused by mold in their homes.
Wood, who’s been designing and developing her own wood floor designs for years, says her team has had success with mold resistant carpet in the past.
“In our experience with mold, it was very, very difficult to actually get the wood floor that was the correct weight for the carpet,” Wood says, adding that the wood used in her company’s carpet is a very high-quality one.
Wood’s company says its carpet is made from wood reclaimed from old buildings.
“We wanted to create a product we could actually be able to use,” Wood said.
Wood said she and her team also looked into making the product as eco-friendly as possible.
Wood recommends that anyone who is considering making a change to their home or is considering buying a new one purchase an eco-friendly wood floor.
Wood is also working with a number of companies to bring her products to market.
She said she hopes to begin selling Engineered flooring by the end of the year.
Engineered is now selling its products on Amazon, Etsy, and other online stores.
