A wooden shelf in Melbourne, Australia has been labelled heart-shaped and heart-tugging, because it looks like a heart.
It was installed at the Melbourne University Student Union (MUSU) on the weekend.
“I was going through my notes and I realised I had a picture of a heart and it said ‘heart shaped’ on it,” student David Cocker told ABC News.
“It’s a little bit embarrassing, I guess.”
The university says the shelf has been installed in order to prevent people from looking at the wooden parts of it.
The MUSU says they are not responsible for any damage caused by the wooden shelf.
“MUSU has made every effort to ensure that all materials are as safe as possible, including ensuring that the installation of the wall in the MUSU office was made without any tampering,” MUSU said in a statement.
“The university is aware of a small number of individuals that have taken offence to this item and the university has taken action to ensure the removal of the item from the MUU premises.”
The MUSU has been receiving a number of complaints about the wooden piece, but it is unclear whether any will be taken down.
